-PET POLICY-

Effective November 1, 2007

Dear Laguna Reef Guest,

We welcome you and your K-9 pet to the Laguna Reef Hotel and Resort.  We do not accept cats.

As pet owners ourselves, we value the special relationship of man’s best friend.  We are committed to keeping our hotel pet K-9 dog friendly, and to do this, we have outlined a few important policies to assist us in keeping your pet and other pets safe, happy, and healthy. 

1)        Please keep your pet on a leash at all times when not in your personal hotel accommodations. The City of Rockport has a lease law which they do enforce.  It is City Code 888

2)        To insure the safety of our team members and your pet, you must be present to clean your room.

3)        We have two pet walking areas.  One is located on the East side of Water Street long the fence line.  The other area is located on the south side of the parking lot along Austin Street.  A trash can and clean up bags are located in these areas for your convenience. Please pick up after your pets. 

4)        Pets are not allowed inside the Pool Fence, Pool or Breakfast area.

5)        Please do not leave your pet unattended.  Please monitor your pet’s barking. They should not be left alone on the hotel balconies.  If other guests complain of excessive barking, and you are unable to control your pet, you could  be ask to depart the hotel with no financial adjustment being made on your hotel bill.

6)        Only two pets are allowed per registration for a suite or ground floor guest room.

7)        The Daily Pet Charge is $7.00 per pet.  Please check with the front desk for long term stay rates.

8)        You must have proof of your pet’s current vaccinations as follows:

a.        Rabies Shot (Texas Required by Law)

b.        Bordetella Shots

c.         Paraenfluenza

d.        Hispat

e.        Distenper

You will need to have these items with you at check in OR, you may have your veterinarian’s office fax them for each of your pets.  Our fax # is:  361-729-7231

However, the records must be at the front desk prior to check in.  This is for the well being of all pets.
